Commercial School Kitchen Upgrade for 600 Students
This project involved the construction of a brand-new school kitchen designed to prepare daily meals for up to 600 students. The space was purpose-built to meet the demands of high-volume catering while fully complying with hygiene, safety, and operational standards.
To support the kitchen’s capacity, an extensive new drainage system was installed, running externally to a dedicated septic tank and grease separator. This critical infrastructure protects the wider school drainage network and ensures long-term reliability under heavy use.
As part of the school’s move towards more sustainable energy use, a new electrical substation was installed, enabling the kitchen to transition from gas to electric. This upgrade future-proofs the facility while improving efficiency and safety.
The kitchen and adjoining corridors were fully finished with white rock hygienic cladding, creating a clean, durable, and easy-to-maintain environment suitable for professional food preparation.
The completed facility is a robust, modern commercial kitchen—engineered for scale, efficiency, and the everyday demands of a busy school environment.
